Mr. Berlusconi

Just give me a valid alternative to him: the communists? The "Rubygate" is a gigantic bullshit, as well as all the other trials where Berlusconi is involved, set up by the communists with the help of accomodating judges: he's never been sentenced and never he will..

LucaBartolozzi wrote: Jun 9th 2011 4:39 GMT .for the readers who actually would like some REAL information about Berlusconi's government action, apart of that written by a stupid journalist with no name and obviously paid by some italian left politician:
1) reform of pension system, considered now the second best in Europe
2) reform of school to a system much closer to that of anglosaxon world
3) reform of university to a system closer to that of USA and northern europe (against the mafia of old barons/professors)
4) informatization of public administration
5) management of Aquila's Earthquake that alone caused -1% reduction of GNP in 2008 in Italy, not to mentions deaths, expenses to rebuild etc etc
6)management of world financial crisis without growing taxes and protecting all workers thanks to "cassa integrazione"
7)no italian bank failed, we can say the same for UK fo France or Germany
8)fight to Mafia with improved laws and people that allowed to arrest 29 of 30 most wanted criminals
9)stop of illegal foreigners to Italy
10)grow of production of alternative energy power production to 2nd place in Europe after Germany
11)now italy is number 2 in europe and 3 in the world for production of advanced mechanics, best are just Germany and Japan, may be this year Italy will overcome Japan
12)Alitalia saved and making money
13)opening of fast train system all over italy, Uk lacks of it...
14)Italy is number one for Fashion, Food&Wine, luxury&art tourism (let low cost tourism to Zapatero's Spain)
15)reduction od 35% of absenteism (not working for any real reason) among public administration employees
unfortunately the list is quite long
16)unemployment rate lower than EU average, same for inflation
MAY BE YOU CAN CHECK BY YOURSELF, IF YOU DARE THE TRUTH AND NOT THE S...T FO THE ECONOMIST

Actually the real problem is the part of Italians who can't understand how this man is ruining Italy. They let themseves manipulate from Berlusconi's media and tricks or they have self-interest in his politics. It is enough to see how they believe the invention of communists (who don't exist anymore!) but on the other hand they vote the best (and only) friend of ex KGB chief Putin, the last communist politician in !! Please, don't care about their abuses.

Andreas82 wrote: Jun 10th 2011 6:41 GMT .I am an Italian citizen and I must say this article describes well Italy's situation and Berlusconi's failures. Reading the comments of some "berlusconians" here who are still obsessed with "communists" I can't say if they're joking or they are real. Maybe they are part of a special "propaganda office" set up by miss Brambilla (one of Mr.Berlusconi's "friends") to react against "hostile" articles in the foreign press. They still think that it's possible to change foreigners' views on the country using Mussolini-style bombastic propaganda about "sun, fashion and shops" instead of showing FACTS and NUMBERS.
Please don't believe in those who say that "Berlusconi is loved by Italians", because it's simply not true. He has never had more than 30% of the votes and his allies of the Northern League can't stand him, they are just trying to use him to obtain advantages for the northern regions. Berlusconi's town, Milan, has recently voted against him despite his commitment to confirm the centre-right mayor. This ridicolous man is not the portrait of the majority of Italians, but he has an immense economic power and a number of "fans" who "believe in him" like a religion.
